Far away from hectic everyday life Villa Gisella is located in a green oasis, on the edge of "Sicily's green lung", the National Park Nebrodi. It features a view of the Tyrrhenian coast and the Aeolian Islands. Here you can enjoy to the full your holiday with an unparalleled comfort.
A pool (5 m x 9 m), a terrace with sun beds, outdoor shower, a grill for social gatherings and a garden let enjoy you Sicilian nature. Help yourself to lemons, oranges and olives from the trees in the garden or to the personally grown tomatoes and potatoes.
From the pool you have a perfect panorama of the sea including the Aeolian Islands and the fantastic mountains in Sicily. What could be more restful than letting one's eyes wander into the distance?
The villa is set on two levels. The ground floor consists of the big living room with an open fire place, comfortable sofas, Hi-Fi equipment with record player and a dining table for 8. WLAN-Internet is of course accessible all over the house. A bathroom with shower, WC and bidet as well as a bedroom with double bed are in the ground floor, too.
The 2nd important whereabouts on the ground floor - besides the comfortable seats at the fire place – is of course the fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and a small dining table for 4. Adjacent to the kitchen is the outdoor kitchen with a charcoal grill, 2 fireplaces and 2 sinks. Very useful if you want to grill the meat or fish which has to be scaled before.
The first floor consists of another bathroom with shower, WC and bidet and 3 bedrooms with balconies and air condition. One bedroom has a double bed, another two single beds and a cot and the third a bunk bed. So with an extra bed up to 9 persons can easily stay here.
Villa Gisella offers an authentic Sicilian lifestyle in the mountains above Capo d`Orlando. Nearby is the lively and charming mountain village San Marco d`Alunzio. Evening trips to the bars, pubs and restaurants of San Marco d`Alunzio are a good alternative to the restful and quiet stay at Villa Gisella.
 Location
San Marco d`Alunzio is a picturesque and typical Sicilian village 540 m above sea level. In the narrow lanes you'll find small workshops, ice-cream parlours, pubs, bars and various restaurants. San Marco d`Alunzio is a lively and authentic village, never getting boring.
The National Park Nebrodi is perfect for hikers offering a great deal of walks along beautiful lakes thereby letting gain you insight into the variety of the rocky elevations as well as into the richness of the vegetation. The Arabs once called this region “an island on the island” due to the luxuriant forests, small lakes and great torrents.
The centuries-old culture of farmers and shepherds is reflected in lots of manual products such as embroidered shawls, baskets, ewe-cheese and very traditional products like honey, olive-oil, hazelnuts, pistachios and wild berries. Nebrodi – a centuries-old cultivated land.
Not far from the villa Nebrodi the ruins of Tyndaris are located on a cliff above the golf of Patti. Tyndaris is one of the last Greek foundations in Sicily. The sandbanks of Tyndaris fitted in picturesque into the Tyrrhenian Sea are dreamlike. Allow yourself to be carried away by the festival in honour of the Holy Black Madonna. Each year in September the town of Tyndaris and thousands of pilgrims celebrate the miracle of the Black Madonna with Child well known everywhere in Sicily.
What about a trip to the seven vulcano islands? Either a round trip by boat around the permanent active Stromboli or a mud bath on Vulcano or a visit of the tiny islands Alicudi and Filicudi – the Eolian Islands offer a breathtaking panorama, and they alone are worthy of a trip to Sicily.
