The marvelous Villa Avalon with a fantastic sea view is located above Aquedolci 2 km from the beach. On the English lawn in the large garden with pool, it is simply great to enjoy Sicily's hot summer on sun beds. But in winter, too, Villa Avalon is the ideal accommodation for holidays in Sicily.

Already one hundred years ago, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe preferred to spend the cold winter in the mild climate of Sicily. You can follow his example. The fireplace in the living room provides for having it nice and warm in a romantic atmosphere. Four comfortable bedrooms offer places to sleep for up to 10 people. Three bedrooms have each a double bed and one has 2 single beds.

In case entertainment is wanted, a Sat-TV, a DVD-player and Wi-Fi free of charge are available. But compared to the wonderful evenings in pleasant company on the terrace with sea view, these comforts are irrelevant! Ingredients for unforgettable evenings in Sicily are Sicilian wine and delicious Sicilian dishes. We recommend fish!

Most of your time you will certainly spend at the private pool (6 x 12 m). A pergola and a big parasol provide for sufficient shade and on the sun beds you may enjoy Sicily's sunny and warm weather.

The medieval castle in Aquedolci has been completely altered in the course of time. It is a remarkable attraction! Another sight is the grotto of San Teodoro just 500 m away from Villa Avalon. This grotto is the place where 20.000-year-old finds from the Stone Age were made. Remarkable is the find of the skeletons of 4 men and 3 women, among which is the skeleton of the oldest Sicilian woman. Stone instruments, jewelry made of shark's teeth are among the finds exhibited in Palermo's Museo Geologico Gemmellaro and enable us to draw conclusions about the life of the oldest settlers in Sicily.

The Highway is close by, which is convenient for excursions for example to Cefalù, but can also cause noise due to traffic and weather.
